Autothysis
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Edit: Thank you to everyone who previously playtested! We’re back with a new major update and excited to hear what you think!
This is Alpha 2 and is still in active development. Some features and art may not be fully implemented yet. A list of planned features can be found near the bottom of this page. Follow our page or add this game to a collection to be notified when we update and full-release!
(Length of Alpha Build: 15 - 30 minutes)
NOT FINAL RELEASE. MANY ASSETS ARE PLACEHOLDER/TEMPORARY.
Key Features
We are excited to explore a new type of TD/FPS gameplay that will entertain and engage fans of both. Autothysis seeks to bring several features that fundamentally challenge the way both genres have traditionally been approached.
- Tower Defense Reimagined - Freely place turrets and walls, no grid required, to reroute or distract enemies. Whether you’re an aggressive frontliner, cautious backliner, or want to challenge yourself and forgo turrets or your gun entirely, how you win is up to you!
- Step Into Battle - Your turrets can't always handle everything themselves! Your gun can be used for both damage AND support, so make sure to put it to good use!
- Player Progression - Numerous permanent upgrades, passive skills, defensive equipment, and synergistic weapon modifications can be unlocked through the shop, and combined in your equipment loadout.
- Gameplay Customization - Mix and match modifications to suit any play style you desire! Want your piercing bullets to stun instead of dealing damage? Want a grenade launcher that heals turrets? Player freedom is at the core of the experience!
Planned Features
- Still not challenging enough? Push the difficulty as far as you can go with a customizable difficulty system. Face-off against bigger, badder, brainier bugs for better rewards.
- Want to test the limits of your endurance or just relax by clicking heads? Infinite mode will let you test yourself or forget yourself.
- Itching for more power? The Upgrade system will allow you to upgrade your build to fit a variety of playstyles.
- Extensive replayability, hopefully! - We have big aspirations, but we're a small team. So we’d much rather under-promise and over-deliver. But we're passionate about delivering a tight gameplay loop with depth for those who look. And with luck, that's what we're going to do!
- Multi-Language localization - After an English release we’re hoping to provide Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) and Brazilian Portuguese translations. We’re also investigating Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Spanish, and Portugal Portuguese.

First person shooter/tower defense is a cool idea. I personally like that there is a secondary fire mode for the gun. Fun demo overall
Thank you!
i like that i started shooting off the bat. i made it to the end but nothing happen. Did i win.
The game good but one person who made it named kyle is bald as hell
It wasn't bad, but..... I feel that there was no real excitement in the gameplay. The AI was clunky and unresponsive; the weapons were mediocre at best, and there was no story. What's the narrative?? IMO, the art looked weird, but that's just maybe my eyes>?>. Sorry if I'm unclear with these.... kk
Thank you so much for the feedback, and we heard you loud and clear! We fully agree with your notes, and we definitely have a lot of work for the next sprint. Also your eyes didn't deceive you, many of the assets are placeholders/incomplete.
I'm sorry to say that I found the demo to be quite disappointing. The graphics were lackluster, and the controls were unresponsive and frustrating to use. The gameplay was tedious and unengaging, leaving me feeling bored and uninterested in playing any further.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. If you have suggestions on what you would like to see please let us know!
i got lost in what i was a supposed to be doing, couldnt figure out how to progress wasnt fun enough to keep me occupied so i just gave up
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience! Thank you for posting your feedback. Would you mind explaining exactly where you got confused?
